Plane tree/ Platanus sp.

Scientific name: Platanus sp.

Common name (English / Spanish / Catalan): Plane tree / Plátano de sombra / Plàtan d’ombra

Deciduous tree with branches forming a broad and rounded crown. Trunk is easily recognizable by its bark in plates of brown, yellow, white and green colors. Palmate leaves with 5-7 lobes.
They are monoecious plants (male and female flowers on the same plant, but separate). Very small flowers grouped in globose, unisexual inflorescences, approximately 1 cm in diameter.
